So much for keeping this blog up! Here's a quick update dear reader: January 2013/February Went to Kawa Kon which was a blast! Enjoyed the British Invasion Track (all UK) panels including the Beatles, Doctor Who, etc. I ran a tribute in honor of the Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary which is November 23, 2013 March Started working on the presentation for the Doctor Who talk at Forest Park: Madman In A Blue Box: 50 years of Doctor Who. The slide show and the viewing of the 11th hour went well! April Went to my first CIA meeting (a Doctor Who fan club) I think it was April. It was a long meeting. Very long but informative. May Worked on swap bot swaps for my Doctor Who Fan group.

50th Anniversary of Doctor Who

Well, A new year! This year I have a couple of craft resolutions: 1. Only purchase art supplies every other month and with a minimum of $20.00. 2. Learn to knit. 3. Save up to have a backyard or portable TARDIS built in honor of my 60th birthday June 19th. Why learn to knit? Because I want to knit my own 4th Doctor's scarf by November 23, 2013 which is the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who coming on the airwaves in the UK. Why a TARDIS? And why one in my backyard? 'Cause I think it would be a hoot to have one and then have a BBQ party and not mention that there's a TARDIS in the back. I am so mature. I know, right?

How time is really wibbly-wobbly

After reading the forums on swap-bot I thought, hey let's google your name and see what shakes out. Well, there are a lot of me's out there but the one I was looking for didn't show up. But then I found that I made this blog back in 2005! Good lord. Has it been that long? Back in 2006 I had not decided to go back to get my degree. I was still working as a web designer for Forest Park, I was newly divorced; my girls were turning 21. I hadn't discovered Doctor Who but was still working with Virtual Season X as their web designer. Perhaps I'll keep this blog up (or at least try) to keep this blog better updated. We'll see.

Today at Red Lead artist Nancy Curry will be having several demos at 6:30 pm

Tip-Ins

I've made a concerted effort to work on my art. So this past Sunday I started work on two separate tip-ins for two separate projects.

The first one is for Red Lead's Favorite Colors and the second for a member of the Bad Baby's group which is on 50's.

For Red Lead I chose the color red -- no particular reason other than that was the first paint I pulled out of the drawer, LOL. I have to make 32 copies for this tip in and find something appropriately cool to add as some embellishments that won't cost me an arm and a leg.

When I get a chance I'll attach the pictures for these.
